Customer Services Mule Poetry
A rewarding exchange with Somerfield customer services.
To: Somerfield Customer ServicesSir/Madam,
I was recently leaving your store on XXXXXXX XXXXXXX in Bristol when I noticed an elderly lady with a large number of heavy shopping bags just ahead of me. She was clearly struggling to carry them all and kept having to stop and rest.
As we continued outside, I realised that she had no car, no trolley, no way of getting her shopping home other than carrying it all herself, and she was having a terrible time of it.
I myself was able to offer some assistance in carrying her heavy vegetables as I had one hand free and I keep myself in good shape.
As I waved goodbye to the lady at her front door, it occurred to me that you might be able to put into practice an idea which I have seen on my many travels to South America and elsewhere.
In these locations it is customary for shopkeepers to keep a small number of mules outside the store.
